Scan & Track
Point your phone's camera at any barcode to instantly add it to your pantry inventory. Add quantity and expiration date in seconds.
Track your home grocery inventory on your phone.
The Story
Scantry was born out of the frustrations of a 2019 college student who kept letting his produce, bread, dairy, and meat expire.
A big part of this problem was visibility — if your food is all neatly tucked away in your pantry, how can you possibly be expected to remember that you still have half a loaf of multigrain bread, or two zucchinis that are almost too wrinkly to use?
The answer is: you can't. And that's why we built Scantry.

Features
A simple, powerful loop: scan it, track it, use it before it expires.
Point your phone's camera at any barcode to instantly add it to your pantry inventory. Add quantity and expiration date in seconds.
Scantry sends you a smart notification before items expire — giving you time to actually use them rather than discover them too late.
Scantry's AI looks at your current inventory and what's expiring soonest, then suggests recipes that make the most of what you have.
Share your pantry with everyone in the house. No more duplicate purchases, no more "did you already buy milk?" texts in the group chat.
Roadmap
After the Q4 2026 launch, here's where the app is headed next.
Plan your meals for the week and let Scantry auto-generate a shopping list of only what you actually need.
Snap a photo of a grocery receipt and Scantry adds everything to your inventory automatically — no scanning required.
We're building a backend that's platform-agnostic from day one. Android is on the near-term roadmap after the iOS launch.
